De Novo Mental Health Services
Throughout the life of every woman, there are times when our own internal emotional experience can feel overwhelming and distressing. Whether that’s coping with an unexpected loss, adjusting to a life transition, or navigating through years of pain. Making the choice to seek the support of a therapist takes courage. Stand tall with your courage. The fire inside you says “enough.” No longer will the light from your fire remain covered. Heal. Grow. Shine.
Therapy Services
Congratulations on taking the first step towards healing. Therapy provides a new beginning for your journey toward increased hope, happiness, and emotional health. I am honored to join you on this quest for freedom from the constraints of emotional pain. Take a soul-filling breath…and visualize the courage and strength you have had all along, but that only needs to be uncovered and rediscovered. Psychotherapy can bring clarity to life events, confidence with others and satisfaction with life. Recovery is possible, and we all have the capacity for healing and happiness.

EMDR Consultation, Certification, and Approved Consultant Services
”Since its initial development in 1987, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy has been empirically supported by randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and is internationally recognized as an effective treatment for trauma and a wide range of experientially based disorders” (Shapiro, Francine. “Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy,” 3rd Edition). From the use of Standard Protocol for single event traumas, to special protocols for dissociation, complex chronic trauma, and/or chemical recovery; EMDR is a robust tool where the therapist and the client both can, in the words of my own EMDR consultant, “trust the process.”
However, the more complicated the struggles of your client, the further you must travel away from Standard Protocol, to creatively modify EMDR in order to meet the needs of your client.
Being a Certified EMDR Therapist provides a distinction to the EMDR community, as well as potential clients; you are a competent and capable EMDR therapist. It communicates the ability to modify the Standard Protocol appropriately and effectively for each client. To accomplish this, EMDRIA requires time with an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, as well as additional trainings to stay current on methodology. To assist the EMDR practitioner on accomplishing their EMDR specific professional goals, and to maintain true with the EMDRIA’s Professional Code of Conduct, I provide the following services:
- Consultation hours required during Part 1 and Part 2 training
- EMDRIA Certification training
- EMDRIA Approved Consultant training
Remember, “Consultation increases the use of EMDR therapy by those who have received training, reduces the formation of bad habits and the risks of problematic use of EMDR. It also allows the clinician to develop and integrate EMDR therapy skills creatively into their other skills in a way that enhances clinical efficiency and effectiveness in helping a wider range of clients meet their goals for change” (EMDRIA, https://emdria.site-ym.com/page/22).
